Verizon Samsung Galaxy S3 users are now officially onboard the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean. Similar to its counterparts, apart from the general Android 4.3 features, this OTA update also includes support for Galaxy Gear along with several other enhancements.
Following the latest Android 4.3 update, your Verizon Samsung Galaxy S3 will get a bump to the build number I535VRUCML1. Considering that Verizon is the last of the 4 major US carriers to update the Galaxy S3 on its network, you probably know what goodies this update brings with itself, but just for the sake of formality here is a brief overview.
Verizon Samsung Galaxy S3 Android 4.3 update changelog
According to the official changelog provided by Verizon, within this update you will find there is Android 4.3 Jelly Bean (obviously). There is support for Galaxy Gear (allowing you to do cool stuff like Smart Relay, Auto Lock and more), Samsung KNOX, Camera app now supports ‘Sound & Shot’, Group Play. There are some enhancements to Multi Window, Isis wallet app, call settings, lock screen settings, and notifications along with some other small changes on the UI front.
The changelog also states that after the Android 4.3 update, roaming on the TELUS Network in Canada will now be possible for the Verizon Samsung Galaxy S3 users. Another interesting addition is the inclusion of 5GB of free storage on Verizon Cloud, which will not only let you backup the content of your device but will also allow you to transfer it to multiple other devices.
Well, this is all what there is. Since the update is rolling out in the traditional OTA format, don’t get worried if the update notification hasn’t made it to your Verizon Samsung Galaxy S3 yet. An OTA update is typically rolled out region by region and it might take a while before it is rolled out for your region.
Anyhow, those who’ve already updated their Verizon Galaxy S3 to Android 4.3, how is it going? Are there any bugs or issues we should be aware of?
