If rumors are to be believed, November 12 will be remembered as a golden day in the history of Android ecosphere. If everything goes right, Sony will launch its Sony Xperia Z1S globally and a codenamed device Sony Xperia Taichi.
Sony Xperia Z1S is the identical brother of Sony Xperia Z1F. It is to be noted that Sony Xperia Z1F is the same smartphone which was touted to be the ‘mini’ version of Sony Xperia Z1 but has same specs as the Sony Xperia Z1 flagship right from the Snapdragon 800 processor to the 20 megapixel G-Lens camera. The only thing which is ‘mini’ here is literally the body shell.
So, if speculations are right Sony Xperia Z1S will be the global and mini face of Sony Xperia Z1. The tipsters from Chinese social media have informed that the event is scheduled in Shanghai. With these original rock star features in compact version, this Sony Xperia Z1S is surely going to be the top performer in its league.
Sony Xperia Taichi, the codenamed smartphone which is expected to debut on the said event too is rumored to be a phablet with 6 inch screen with 720 pixel display along with octa-core MediaTek CPU.
Though, everybody is arguing about why Sony would take such a risk to dilute its market by launching smartphone with same specs. The track record of Samsung and other OEMs does not go down well because when it comes to mini devices, specs and features take a hit with stepped-down pricing.
Apparently Sony has chosen to not to respond to rumors and say anything. So, until anything is out officially, do not raise your hopes in vain.
But as we know that Sony launched Sony Xperia Z1F in Japan with Docomo, cross your fingers and hope this might be as well as true. If this happens, Sony Xperia Z1S has all the capabilities to change the game of Android-based smartphones.
