Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini is one of the most anticipated phone of the year and while its release date still has some time left, the Korean company has just confirmed the specs for the mini version of its current flagship phone.
The Samsung Galaxy S4 is going to tout a qHD 960×540 pixels SuperAMOLED display measuring at 4.3 inches and will feature a 1.7GHz dual-core processor along with 1.5GB of RAM under its hood. The Koreans have bestowed the Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini with an expandable 8 GB of onboard storage which is probably going to be more than enough to store loads of pictures captured through its 8 MP rear and 1.9 MP front camera.
On the software side, just like its predecessor, the Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini is going to boast the latest Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean which will be further complimented with the latest version of TouchWiz UI. In its press release, Samsung has also confirmed that the new device is also going to come with features like Sound and Shot, S Translator and S Health, and WatchON TV thanks to the IR blaster that comes with it.
As far as connectivity goes, standard features like WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0 and 3G/4G LTE radios and NFC are present in the device. The Koreans have also confirmed that they are soon going to release a dual-sim variant of the Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini, however, availability for that device will depend in various markets accordingly.
Unfortunately, Samsung did not reveal anything that was even remotely related to pricing or availability of the device. However, the folks at Phones4u were quick to confirm that they are going to house in the Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini as soon as it becomes available in UK in July 2013.
It is still unclear whether the Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini will come with all the front camera trickery like Smart Pause and Smart Scroll, but our bets are on the positive side.
