Nexus 5Google, in partnership with LG, released the Nexus 5, the latest in the Nexus lineup, in October last year. The Nexus 5 was and has been a no-compromise phone, and is now selling cheap at an off-contract price of just $350! Since its release, we have come across many deals from various retailers, but the deal by Micro Center just tops everyone. Read on to find out more about it.

Nexus 5 available for a throwaway price

For those who have been living under a rock, or were off to the moon, let me list out the specs just to make you realize how awesome this deal is. The Nexus 5 comes pre-installed with the Android 4.4 KitKat OS (expected from a phone that comes home-grown from Google’s very own stable). The phone features a 4.9-inch IPS display with a 1080p HD resolution, and a screen that gives a pixel density of 445 ppi. This amazing display is protected by the ‘Corning Gorilla Glass 3’. The Nexus 5 posses an 8MP rear-facing camera and a 1.3MP unit, up-front. Inside, it comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 SoC, with a quad-core CPU clocked at a staggering 2.26 GHz, along with an Adreno 330 GPU. The Nexus 5 has the Qi Wireless Charging built-in. Although it was released last year, it is still a great buy for anyone on the look-out for a good solid Android phone with Vanilla Android and guaranteed updates in the future.

Coming back to the deal, Micro Center is offering the Sprint version of the 16 GB Nexus 5 for just $249.99 along with a $6 shipping charge, which brings the total to a measly $256. If you had been holding back for the Nexus 5, waiting for a great deal, look no further, this is it! This is the best deal you can get for the Nexus 5 off-contract, till the next instalment is (hopefully) announced at the Google I/O this year. We haven’t seen much promotion of this deal online. So just to be sure, head over to your nearest Micro Center to check whether the deal still exists. And if the deal still exists, and you have good Sprint coverage in your neck of the woods, just go for it. The Nexus 5 comes in black, white and red variants, if that matters to you.

Tell us what you think about the deal, or if you miraculously somehow know a better deal than this! Just drop a few lines in the Comments’ Section below.

  1. Can you give us more info about this. I don’t understand how this phone can be locked into Sprint when it has a sim card slot. Can’t you just remove the sim card and put another sim card like T-Mobile to get it to work on T-Mobile?

  2. I purchased the unlocked version nexus 5 directly from Google play store and usted it for 3 months with sprint with a sprint micro sin card then i swiched to H2o wireless with no problems. I am not sure what the sprint versión os maybe it comes with the sprint micro sin inside.

  3. SPH-L700 “Toro Plus”: Sprint’s variant featuring 4G LTE connectivity in the 1900 MHz band (Band 25). It is virtually identical to the Verizon variant, save for the omission of the SIM slot, and minor cosmetic differences.

  4. This is a really good deal. I’m not sure whether to jump on this or wait for the next iPhone. That CPU looks like a beast!

  5. I have the Nexus 5 from Sprint and sporting the iphone 4 also which I let me kid use since getting the Nexus. The Nexus
