Motorola Droid RAZR HD, Maxx HD, And RAZR M owners can start tipping their fedoras now. Motorola has officially confirmed through its product support pages, that its last year’s long forgotten flagships, the Motorola Droid RAZR HD, Maxx HD, and RAZR M are also not going to be left behind. These handsets are also going to get updated to Android 4.4 KitKat.
All three pages now show that each phone will get the new Android 4.4 KitKat, even though there has been no word on when we are going to see the updates being rolled out, the good thing is that the updates will come. Motorola will first update all of the Moto X variants and then they will continue with the Droid Ultra, Droid Maxx, and Droid Mini before they release anything for the last year’s Droid family.
The update should bring every feature added officially by Google in addition to Motorola’s own enhancements and features, even if Motorola has one of the closest to stock Android experiences, they do add some of their own elements in the mix. These features don’t feel forced at all, in fact, they feel like a great addition to the original Android experience.
This is great news! Motorola is really helping Google spread Android 4.4 KitKat to as many customers as possible. In the coming weeks/months, we might see more relatively old devices being updated to this new Android version by other manufacturers. Keep in touch with AndroidOrigin to find out when your device is going to get Android 4.4 KitKat. Also, make sure to let us know in the comments below when you expect to see the 4.4 update for your device.
