Previously, HTC’s Head US Marketing Chief has announced via Twitter about the impending Android 4.3 update for its high-end smartphones coming in September. Specifically, he mentioned the HTC One, One Mini, and last year’s One X and One X+, as well as Verizon’s Droid DNA as part of the upgrade cycle.
The end of September is nearing, and while no retraction of the supposed update release has been announced, a lot are being skeptical about it actually happening. Lucky for us, we get a bit of an affirmation from HTC insider @LlabTooFer, a consistent information leaker who has recently released an Android 4.3 ROM for the HTC One.

According to @LlabTooFer, via Twitter, the US versions of the Taiwanese company’s latest flagship will be getting the Android 4.3 and Sense 5.5 update soon. Soon thereafter, international version sof the device will be receiving the OTA update to 4.3 and Sense 5 (oddly, it seems like US is getting the update first and not the other way around). As an addition, @LlabTooFer has also gave information regarding the HTC One Max, codenamed T6, which he states will herald the updates for the updates for the HTC One Mini, and the Butterfly S to 4.3 and Sense 5.5. He also mentioned that all variants of the HTC One S, as well as Sprint’s HTC EVO LTE will not be getting upgraded above Android 4.1 and Sense 4+.
With just a few more weeks of September left, we play the waiting game, and hope that HTC delivers their promise.
As an addition, Verizon’s Droid DNA is included in the update scheme. The end of September is nearing–the alleged update release.
