We’re starting to get used to the ongoing war between Apple and Samsung. Following a lawsuit where Apple claimed the tech magnate stole the iPad design (which they lost), Samsung has adopted a very aggressive marketing campaign which focuses on promoting their devices while harming Apple. We have been covering this subject extensively, and you can read about it here, here and here if you want to learn more about the Samsung-Apple war. So far, Apple has refrained from being as aggressive as Samsung, but who knows for how long this will keep up.
Samsung has recently posted a video where various headlines taunt the tech magnate, claiming the iPhone 6 Plus is an imitation of the Galaxy Note series. An example: “The truth hurts, Apple fans: You can thank Samsung for your big new iPhone displays”, which is just one of many headlines displayed in the video.
This aggressive marketing campaign led by Samsung is likely to continue, but as we specified in our articles, competition is always healthy for any industry, because in order for two companies to win over each other, they need to produce higher quality devices that customers enjoy. It’s not very often we get to see such aggressive battles between two companies, but we’re slowly getting used to this particular one.
What do you think about this whole Samsung-Apple charade? Do you think Apple was right to sue Samsung, or did Samsung deserve its victory?
Also, as a reminder, the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 should be coming in the first half of October, so keep your eyes on the news.
Let us know what you think about this whole ordeal of things, and please comment on whether this conflict has changed your opinion on one company or the other. Are you more likely to purchase a Samsung device, or an Apple one?
